Bitter Chocolate Miso Medjool Date

Believe it or not, I haven’t got a sweet tooth, give me savoury over sweet any day. But I do have a penchant for the most bitter of chocolate. Anything above 85% Cocoa and I’m yours.


Every now and then, the notion hits and I need a sweet fix. But for me that means Contrast.


This takes 5 seconds to prepare and ticks all the boxes: Sweet, Bitter, Salty, Soft and Crunchy, the perfect morsel. This is for those times when Its just you, yourself and your thoughts.

Ingredients:


1 Medjool Date

1/8 tsp White Miso

1 Square 85% Cacao Chocolate

1 Almond, Skin On


Method:


1. Slit the date and remove the stone. Smear the Miso inside, add the almond and top with the chocolate.

2. Find a cosy, quiet spot, take a book and enjoy your 5 minutes of calm.
