Pineapple Jamu Jamu


If we could all give a little more love and a little less animosity, we would all reap the rewards. A simple equation, easy to manage but for some so difficult to come to fruition.

This juice gives me clarity in times when the world and its people seem all too much. Fresh, revitalising and levelling. Inspired by the Indonesian Health Tonic Jamu Jamu, which uses Coconut Water, I have substituted Pineapple Juice as it is a favourite of mine.

Please remember to peel the ginger & turmeric, so many people don’t. As it’s a rhizome, the skin is a form of bark and indigestible for humans.


1 Pineapple, roughly Chopped

10cm Ginger, peeled & roughly chopped

5cm Fresh Turmeric, peeled & roughly chopped

1 tbsp Maple Syrup

2 Limes, Juiced

Filtered Water


1. Add the pineapple, ginger & turmeric to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.

2. Add the maple and lime and blend again.

3. Strain into a jug and measure, add enough filtered water to make 1 litre.

4. Store in a bottle in the fridge for up to 2 days before the enzymes begin to degrade.
