Raspberry & Rose Fizz

PINK ITS MY FAVOURITE COLOUR……. PINK IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.


This one is not just for Valentine’s Day. Say I love you every single day, life is far too precious to reserve it for one day a year.


Simple to make, even more simple to sip. This is utterly delicious.


Rose Syrup:


100g Sugar

100ml Water

1 tbsp Edible Rose Petals

1 tsp Rose Water


For one Drink:


10ml Rose Syrup

25ml Raspberry Vodka (I use Absolut)

25ml Starlino Rose (Substitute an extra measure of vodka with 5ml extra syrup)

Tonic Water and Ice to top up


Method:


1. Prepare the syrup. Add the water, sugar, and rose petals to a small pan. Dissolve over a low heat then increase the heat. Boil for 3-5 minutes or until syrupy. Remove from the heat, add the rose water, and cool to room temperature. Store in a bottle in the fridge for up to 12 months.

2. When ready, add the syrup, vodka and Starlino rose to a mixing glass with 3-4 ice cubes. Stir for 30 seconds then strain into a glass through a hawthorn strainer. Top with tonic and serve.
