Rose Scented Cremant Fizz

Pink, there is just something so soft about it. Like the plump flesh of a newborn child or the delicate petal of a rose, it just brings a calmness serenity with it.


So, when I want to give someone something special, I give them pink. A pink tint for me means love, like the colour of a heartbeat, it means life.


So, this drink, whilst simple in its make-up, it’s so much more. Little bubbles of pure feeling, wrapped in a pink hued kiss. One that your granny and your partner alike will adore. This one is for every single person out there that you love.

Ingredients:


100g Caster Sugar

100ml Rose Water

20g Rose Petals, organic, unsprayed and as fragrant as possible, plus extra to garnish

1 Bottle Crémant/ Prosecco, well chilled



Method:


1. Begin with the syrup. Add the sugar and water to a small pan and bring to a boil. Boil until syrupy, 3-5 minutes.

2. Remove from the heat, add the rose petals and allow to infuse and cool completely. Strain and pop in the fridge to chill.

3. Once cold, add 1 tbsp to the base of each of your glasses. Add a little crémant and allow the bubbles to settle, top with prosecco and serve garnished with a rose petal and love.
