Cosiness in a cup. This is an autumn hug, sweet and zingy. Homemade Toffee Vodka will become your new favourite. Don't baulk at the unconventional approach, it really does work!
50g Hard Butter Candies, roughly chopped
For the Cocktail:
50ml Toffee Vodka
1 tbsp Orange Juice
Dash Angostura Bitters
Marshmallow to garnish
Ice to Serve
Begin with the vodka. Pour off 1/5 bottle vodka and reserve for another time. Feed the candy pieces into the bottle and seal the lid tightly.
Place on the top shelf of the dishwasher and run the cycle on the hottest temperature. Remove and allow to cool completely.
For the cocktail, add all ingredients to a shaker (except the mallow) and shake with a few ice cubes for 30 seconds to chill. Strain and serve with fresh ice and a toasted mallow.
